Consider the room, furniture and the way people move through the space. This guide helps you prepare a useful brief; final dimensions and installation requirements are confirmed for your chosen model.
01 — SCALE & PROPORTION
Look beyond
the lampshade.
Record the room width, length and ceiling height, then consider the furniture below or around the light. A single pendant and a group of shades create different visual weight.
Compare the overall width and height of the complete fitting, including multiple shades and the ceiling canopy. Photograph the space from more than one angle so proportions are easier to discuss.

Leave room

Map the position of tables, seating, doors and walkways. Check sightlines and the clearance needed for daily movement, furniture use and maintenance.
For pendant lighting, discuss your ceiling height, preferred hanging position and required suspension length. For floor and table lamps, check the footprint, nearby outlets and cable route.
The appropriate mounting height depends on the room, fitting and local requirements; confirm it with your installer.

03 — PRODUCT DETAILS
Give your installer
a clear brief.
Before ordering, confirm the exact Model No., product dimensions, overall hanging drop, canopy or base size, weight, fixing arrangement and supplied components.
Ask about the light source, destination electrical requirements, dimming options and intended location. Product ratings and compatibility vary; confirm them for the specific configuration in your quotation.
If you need dimension drawings or other product information, tell us which models and document formats your project requires.

Confirm before you connect.
Provide the confirmed product information to a qualified installer. The installer should check the mounting surface, load, fixing method and electrical supply against the product instructions and requirements for the destination.
Follow the instructions supplied for the actual fitting. If any component, specification or installation condition is unclear, stop and contact us before proceeding.
