MATERIALS & CARE

Natural character, considered care.

NATURAL MATERIALS. HUMAN HANDS.

Every material
has its own character.

Texture, grain and weave make each piece individual. Use this guide as a starting point, and ask us for the care requirements of your exact model and finish.

01 — NATURE SILK

Light shaped
by silk.

Natural silk brings a softly textured surface and a gentle quality of light. Its character comes from the material and the way the shade is shaped by hand.

Handle the shade with clean, dry hands and support its frame when moving it. For routine dusting, use a soft, dry brush or a clean, dry cloth with very light pressure. Avoid soaking, abrasive tools and solvent-based cleaners.

If a mark needs more than gentle dusting, contact us with the Model No. and a photograph before trying a treatment.

02 — CRAFTED WOOD

Grain, warmth
and form.

Wood brings visible grain, tone and natural variation. Different pieces and finishes may respond differently to light, heat and moisture.

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid standing moisture, abrasive cleaners and unconfirmed polishing products. Keep the surface away from prolonged direct heat and excessive humidity.

Confirm the finish and suitable cleaning method for your chosen piece before using any treatment.

03 — HANDWOVEN

Texture made
by hand.

Woven materials create a layered pattern of light and shade. Variations in weave and tone are part of their individual character.

Use a soft, dry brush to remove dust carefully from the weave. Support the frame, avoid pulling loose fibres and keep moisture away from the shade. Do not immerse woven parts in water.

Suitability for outdoor, humid or covered spaces must be confirmed for the exact model; an interior photograph does not establish a product’s location rating.

BEFORE YOU CLEAN

Care starts with the right details.

Switch the light off, isolate the power where appropriate and allow it to cool before handling. Keep cleaning products and moisture away from electrical parts. If you need to remove or reinstall a fixed fitting, ask a qualified installer to assist.

Send the Model No., finish, installation environment and a photograph when requesting care advice.
